Learn more about the fascinating field of genomics, i.e. the study of the functioning of life in genomic scale. The girls will have the opportunity to meet the four scientists of the Colloquium and have a discussion with them. This is an exceptional chance for the young adults to have direct contact with internationally renowed scientists. The meeting is accompanied with a visit of a genomics laboratory and the Genome exhibition.

Nuit de la science is a public event organised by the Musée d'histoire des sciences. It takes place every two years.

It has a double objective:

• allow families to dialogue directly with scientists and have them explain in a simple and playful way the latest on-going research.
• offer scientists to go to the public and explain them their approaches.

It also serves as a lab to test different forms of scientific vulgarisation and ways of encounters between scientists and the public.
