Participants learn about web development and its applications to science through a presentation, a game, and a tutorial using Glitch.
General objectives, to teach that:
- Web development involves design and creativity
- Web development is useful for science
- It can be fun and is not too hard
Technical:
- A website is a set of files of code that is hosted on a web server, sent to your computer and rendered (drawn) by the browser/computer
- Code is like language for computers
- A website needs to be physically sent from a web server to your computer
